A city symphony devoted to Kyiv. This experimental documentary was reportedly lost until 2005, this 1929 Soviet Ukrainian production not only observes the progress of life but draws the audience in from being an observer to an active participant. Accomplished Ukrainian composer and pianist Roksana Smirnova takes to the stage with long-term collaborator and countryman Misha Kalinin to provide a powerful live score.
